FSS Technologies is the Midwest's premier provider of electronic security systems and fire alarms. One aspect of the company's extensive growth is the acquisition of local security providers. We mainly concern ourselves on a company's reputation in the industry, the products that they represent, their culture, and their customers. We strive to ensure all of our acquisitions fit our business model and share the same values and standards that have kept FSS successful over the years.
Pulsar Electronics Inc.
Acquired December 2019
In 1972, Dave Summers started Pulsar Electronics Inc. in his basement doing small fire alarms and security systems. Bruce Chapin joined the team in 1978, and by 1985, Dave was looking to retire. Bruce purchased the company from Dave, and as they say, the rest is history. Bruce built an outstanding fire alarm, intercom, and security company in the metropolitan Detroit area and continued to run the company through 2019. After lengthy discussions, Bruce decided to retire. However, during these conversations, his primary concern was that his employees' job security would remain intact, and his customers would continue to receive the same excellence in their service. We promised him we would do our best to ensure that both were satisfied. In December of 2019, FSS Technologies acquired the assets of Pulsar Electronics. Bruce and his wife Patty helped us through the transition and are now enjoying their retirement.
All Pointes & EMMI Security
Acquired October 2019
In the late 1990s, Tom Delisle started All Pointes & EMMI Security and built a great business. We met Tom, and during our discussions, he liked our vision for the future. He decided to join our company as our Detroit Branch Manager. He brought along most of his team: Brian Kirchinger, Jim Kantzer, Jordan Kantzer, and Brandon Czerwiec.
We look forward to serving the customers that came with All Pointes and EMMI. You are very important to us; we will do everything possible to ensure we meet your expectations.
NoBi Security and Fire, Inc.
Acquired in September 2018
Bill and Norma Spencer started NoBi Security and Fire in 1971 with the help of their oldest son, Chuck. When Bill and Norma retired, Chuck and his wife Judy continued to run the company. The Spencer family built an excellent reputation in the community as the hometown security leader. When Chuck and Judy retired in September of 2018, they made sure that all of their employees were retained at FSS Technologies. They are now enjoying retirement driving across America in their RV.
Omni 1 Electronics, Inc.
Acquired in June 2018
In the mid-1980s, John Fieramosca started Omni 1 Electronics, a small family-owned business in the Chicagoland area. John retired in June of 2018 and sold the company to FSS Technologies, but not before ensuring his primary technician Rene was taken care of. We were proud to add Rene to our family, and he has become a key player on our operations team.
Maximum Security, Inc.
Acquired in 2017
Started by Mark Fuhs in 1986, Maximum Security was a small family-owned business in the Chicagoland area. They provided outstanding customer service by using quality products they were proud of. In late 2016, Mark sold the company to FSS Technologies and retired to northern Wisconsin.
Security Consulting Services, Inc.
Farmington Hills, Michigan
Acquired in 2016
Jeffrey Siporin and Freddie Breitberg, having over sixty years of industry experience, founded Security Consulting Services in 1993. They took care of their customers by focusing primarily on intrusion and fire alarm systems. In 2016, FSS Technologies acquired the company; Freddie retired to Florida while Jeffrey remained with the company as one of the lead technicians to help us carry on their great legacy. We then relocated their office in Farmington Hills to our office in Plymouth, Michigan.
Fire & Security Systems
Arlington Heights, Illinois
Acquired in 2015
It all started when Russ and Betty Rogers opened Fire & Security Systems in 1970. They quickly became leaders in the fire alarm and security industry across the Chicagoland area. In addition to their many accolades, they were the leaders in providing AES radio monitoring for local municipalities. In 1986, Russ and Betty sold the company to their sons-in-law, John Fischer and Kevin Preble, who continued to build a great company. John and Kevin retired in 2015 and sold the company to FSS Technologies.
